How to hide unwanted scale points?

In my survey I am using a matrix style dropdown question to have participants select the month and year they experienced something. I want this to be the same question but I have 12 months and 5 years which I hope to be displayed. This leaves 7 unwanted options for the year portion. I have seen that some people with this question have either used code or display logic to hide the unwanted scale points.

Can someone please explain how i would do either of those things? i have been working on this and cannot figure it out.

Hi kswe, is there any particular reason you're wanting to use a Matrix Table question instead of a Drill Down question? On the face of it, the Drill Down question type would give you what you need without any need to muck around with display logic or JavaScript.
