Can’t figure out why contact fields (name, email, etc.) are masked in the data table (Data & Analysis) for some survey collaborators

I (the owner) can see them but the collaborators see “****”.

The survey is not anonymized

We’ve tried making them the survey owner but again: only I can see the name, email etc. They as owners still see only “****”

Thanks!

Why Contact Fields Are Masked

The problem appears to stem from a permissions issue in Qualtrics. Specifically, the "View Restricted Data" permission, which controls access to sensitive fields like First Name, Last Name, and Email, might not be enabled for your collaborators’ user accounts. Even if they are made survey owners, this user-level permission is required to view the actual data, and without it, fields are replaced with asterisks ("****").

How to Resolve

To fix this, you’ll need to ensure the "View Restricted Data" permission is enabled for each collaborator’s user account. This can only be done by a Brand Administrator, so reach out to them to request the necessary changes. After enabling, verify that the collaboration settings for the survey also allow access to restricted data.
