Opting out for contacts in a transaction batch email distribution

Hello,

I am sending daily email distributions to transaction batches. The survey is the same - feedback about a transaction. A contact can have more than one transaction and exist in more than one transaction batch.

My question is - how can a contact opt out of receiving invites for this survey? Normally this happens when they opt out of the mailing list associated with the email distribution but here there is no mailing list involved here. And the transaction batch for each distribution is different so even if there is a way to opt out of a transaction batch, it would apply only to the daily batch and not to future batches.

And there doesn’t seem to be a way to opt out of a transaction batch. When I tried to unsubscribe using the link in the invite email, it lead me to a Sorry, something went wrong page.

Problem solved.

The transactions were being imported using the API’s Create Transaction Contacts Import which requires a mailing list. Even though the distribution is sent to the transaction batch, not the list, opting out of the list excludes the contact’s transactions from all distributions to transaction batches associated with this mailing list.
