Qualtrics Library Folder Limit – Maximum Number of Folders Allowed?

​@gPandey_715 , There is no explicit maximum number of folders you can create in the Qualtrics Library. However, for organizing your projects on the Projects page, you can create custom folders and subfolders, with up to 5 layers of subfolders.

Thanks for your response.

The reason I'm asking is that my client has around 200 dealers, and each dealer needs to upload documents that should not be accessible to other dealers. Therefore, they would like to know whether it is possible to create 200 separate folders within the Qualtrics Library to keep the documents segregated and secure.

​@gPandey_715 , To keep each dealer’s documents separate and secure in Qualtrics, create a dedicated user group for each dealer. Assign each dealer to their own group. This way, only members of that group can access their documents, ensuring privacy and segregation.
 

1. Create a Group for Each Dealer:
   As a Brand Administrator, you can create a separate group for each dealer. Each group will act as a secure “folder” in the Qualtrics Library. https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/sp-administration/managing-users/user-groups/

2. Assign Users to Their Group:
   Add each dealer (or their users) only to their respective group. This ensures that only members of a group can access the documents in that group’s library. https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/sp-administration/administration-overview/

3. Group Libraries:

Thanks ​@arunxmarchitect . Just to clarify, are you suggesting using separate Group Libraries instead of Library folders? Also, is there any documented limit on the number of folders that can be created within a Qualtrics Group Library?
