Hello
I have 2 questions that deal with the same thing. For example:
Q1 - what is your preferred color? you can choose 1 answer. Choices are Blue, Green, Red, Yellow.
Q2 - what is your 2nd choice of colors? you can choose 1 answer. Choices are Blue, Green, Red, Yellow.
My issue is that right now someone can select red for both Q1 and Q2. I want it to be so that if red is selected in Q1 then it cannot be selected in Q2.
Is there a way to do this?

You could use a ranking question instead.

I am trying to avoid ranking questions. I have one already and the only the rank number comes through in Data & Analysis export. I then have to manually tie those numbers to the values.
It would be much cleaner to just restrict the choices, if possible.

I figured this out! Carry forward choices worked perfectly.
