Randomizing to show unique items to each participant

I want to show participants 1 item from 150 items. I do not want to repeat those items (so if participant 1 receives item 1, I don't want to show item 1 again). How would I do this?

If you are only going to show them 1 item, when will it repeat?

The repeat is across surveys, not within a survey. I don't want participants to see any item that has already been shown to another participant.

2 possible options.

  1. Use Quotas and display logic/branching. However, read the support pages on Quotas to account for the caveats.

  2. Store stimuli externally, call and display a unique one for each using a webservice.
