Text box in an invitation email

Hi Community,
I reach you out to request your guidance: I would like to insert an open ended question (text box) in an invitation email. I already added the inline NPS question which is available but I'm searching for this feature for text box. Is it possible?  
Does anyone know how to proceed?

I don't believe there is any built-in way in Qualtrics to insert an inline text box in an email invitation. My understanding is that the reason the inline MC question works is because the act of clicking a choice works to open the survey, which of course does not happen when typing in a text box.
Perhaps a Javascript solution exists but I have not seen that before.
