Translating distribution emails | XM Community

Hi all,

Quick question on survey translations. I am picking up a survey which has been started by a person who I replaced in my current role.
There is a survey for many European respondents which I know has already been set up in qualtrics with translations coded.

I believe I need to add Language, and Language_Q columns in my distribution lists and this will mean the respondents get asked in their language.
Is this correct? And will this feed through automatically to translate the distribution emails which are sent?

Not sure about the one explained above, but you can create a hidden question and translate that question in qualtrics and use it as a pipe-in in email distribution.

You only need to populate Language in the contact list and that language will automatically be used for the invites and survey (as long as you've translated your invite message and survey into that language).
If you add Q_Language as an embedded data field in the survey flow, it will record the language the respondent finished the survey in.

Thanks for your replies and help here.
I think I understand now. I have to translate the survey in the translation tab. Have the Q_language as an embedded field. Then also ensure in the contact list there is the embedded fields coded ready to feed through.
At the moment I've only translated the survey. So I believe I need to go to library and create translations for the email message.
