Can you make changes to your mailing list after you've already sent out an invitation?

I've already sent out a survey invitation using a mailing list but I realized that one of the fields (embedded data) included in the sample list wasn't correct. The labeling itself is correct but let's say the date needed to say 2/3 instead of 2/1. I went to Directories and List, and saw that I could manually update it. For those who haven't opened up the invite yet, would it automatically update what they see?

You should be able to update the embedded data fields in the contact lists. Moving forward the respondents will see the updated data.
