Is there a way we can send an automated email notification to a user if a ticket is not resolved within 48 hours?

Don't think such feature is available.

But close you can get is by the following way-

have two task 1. ticket 2. Email(with When: send after 2 days set ) and have a message as "ignore if already resolved"
I wish if in the email task I could select a condition - If ticket is open after 2 days then send the Email. 😀

You can also do this through "Ticket reminder" feature. If this feature is not enabled then please ask CSM about it.
