For instance, the report contains the numbers from our trials. Before final release to our approximately 200 email audience, I want to zero out the results or choices made in the trials.

You must delete the data from data & Analysis tab.
Alternatively, if there is some reason to keep the test data (I can't think of a valid one) you can change the filter on your report to be anything after a certain time or whose type is not preview.
