How to force unique answers for constant sum questions

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to add an exclusive answer feature to constant sum questions? The example I have is that I want respondents to rank how they feel about a particular issue. The drag and drop question proved too difficult for many in the test group, so the alternative I'm looking at is using a constant sum question ranging from 1-4, where the total sum has to be 10. Problem is there are several ways to add up to 10 that wouldn't give a clear ranking (i.e. 3,3,3,1 or 2,2,3,3 etc.). How can I force unique values for each alternative?

Jacobgek have you tested the radio button rank question? That might solve your problem.

    You should use a Rank Order, Vertical (type: text box, position: vertical) instead with validation type of Must Rank All.
