Hi Qualtrics Community,
I have a block of three questions (Q1, Q2, Q3) with same answer options. I have randomized the order of questions in the block. I need to randomize the answer options in the three questions. But the order of answers shown in the first question should be same as the order of answers shown in the second and third questions.
How do I do that?
Thanks,
Ank
ank I think you will want to create a "hidden question." This question would come before the Q1-Q3 set and you would carry forward the answer options from that question.
See this post and comments from TomG on how to create a hidden question: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/1460/how-can-i-program-a-hidden-backgroud-question
And this support page to learn more about carry forward options: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/question-options/carry-forward-choices/. You will want to choose Displayed Choices.
This particular support page explains that Carry Forward will preserve your randomization order: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/question-options/choice-randomization/#PreservingRandomizationOrder
bstrahin : Thanks, it worked perfectly!
