How to set up recurring surveys in Qualtrics? | XM Community

Hi. I am trying to see if I can set up recurring surveys in Qualtrics just like SurveyMonkey does it here https://help.surveymonkey.com/articles/en_US/kb/Recurring-Surveys. Thank you!
Hey @annaholtzman, do you need it to automatically import respondents and send them a survey? I guess the Survey monkey isn't helping me understand what you're hoping to get done.

I've only ever used Qualtrics, and I don't know how many others have this same experience... so knowing what you need _done_ rather than what another platform calls it might help us understand how to help 🙂
Hi Kate. Thank you for your response. I have a problem of having too many surveys for each event that's organized in our office. The events are similar in nature, e.g., career fairs and currently there is a separate survey for each event which brings an average of surveys per year to 100 or even more. The data than is chopped between the surveys and events and is hard to standardize, analyze and use. Since a lot of events are similar in nature, it makes sense to have survey data in one place rather than multiple surveys and have an option to filter by date and event. Does that make sense? It looks like SurveyMonkey allows you to create recurring in nature surveys but create different Web Link Collectors, get different links for each web link collector for each event and also analyze the data by event. Having new links for each event will also ensure that the previously collected data stays clean but at the same time is stored in the same place. So, I am wondering how to do that in Qualtrics and I am very new to Qualtrics. Thanks!
AH! So if the unique web link is your main draw, I'd actually do the work in Embedded data.

Using embedded data you can append background information to the survey link itself that will append itself to survey responses. That way you can then take a look at the end analysis and parse out which response came from which event.

Here's some info on embedded data:

And here's info on adding that embedded data category to any link you generate:

https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/standard-elements/embedded-data/#SettingValuesFromTheSurveyURL

You would basically just get your link and add ```?Event=EVENTNAMEHERE=``` to the end of your URL. Make sure the survey itself is set up to capture "Event" as an embedded data category from the URL.
Thank you! This is very helpful!
I should also mention that the above method is your best bet for using the anonymous link. To set up individual URLs or send from the Qualrics Mailer, the advice on establishing the embedded data in your panel is the best resource:
