Javascript to create Embedded data field not working in MaxDiff survey | XM Community
Skip to main content
We had someone create Javascript to make a 6 question typing tool work in Qualtrics. The JS takes the answers to these questions and creates a new variable (i.e. "segment"). Then we add a new embedded data field in the Survey Flow for "segment". This has worked in in regular Research Core surveys.

However, it doesn't seem to be working in a MaxDiff survey. We edited the QIDs to match (since you can't change QIDs in MaxDiff surveys), but when testing the survey, the embedded data field "Segment" is always blank.

Qualtrics support can't solve it either.

Help! Thanks.
does that have to do with the embedded data type? (text vs number)?
You should ask the person who created the JavaScript.
