I have a survey where the set of questions a respondent sees from Block B depends on whether or not he/she saw a particular question in Block A (the questions contain similar material, and so we obviously want to avoid this). The details: both blocks contain 4 unique questions, but Block B branches such that if question 1 from Block A is shown, respondents are only randomized into 3 question options, whereas if question 1 from A is not shown, respondents have the chance of seeing all 4 questions from B.
My question is this: If the block ordering is fully randomized, will the branching effect hold even if Block B is shown before Block A? In other words, does this branching logic hold regardless of block order? This is not clear from the survey-flow platform and I've seen randomization instances that make me suspect otherwise. Thank you.

While you meta question should be answered by someone from the Qualtrics team, perhaps LaurenK can help.
In the particular case that you outline, it would work depending on the logic you use. If you branch/display logic is such that "Q1A" "Is Not Displayed", then it will work. Similarly, it also works for "Is (not) selected".
