Removing/modifying an imported question?

I imported a question from a previous survey, because I wanted to keep the wording exactly the same. But I want to be able to set display logic for it that's relevant to the new survey. The imported question appears without the usual controls on the left (i.e. the question number and gear icon), and when I click on it, nothing happens (no options appear in the right-hand sidebar, not even to delete the question).
I assume this is by design in order to preserve the integrity of the imported question, but frankly it's not very useful. Is there a way to break the link between an imported question and its original version, so I can make modifications to it in the new survey? Alternatively, how do I delete an imported question out of a project entirely?
