Response validation: accept multiple answers unless answer X is selected | XM Community

Hello!

I'm trying to set up a more complex-than-average response validation.

Imagine I have the question "What is/are your favourite fruit(s)?" which allows you to select multiple answers from the options "Apple", "Pear", "Banana", and "None of the above". If a participant selects both "Apple" and "Banana", great! But if the participant selects "None of the above", I'd like to make sure they didn't also select any other options.

I've found the setting "Validation type" that I can set to "At least: 1", but this doesn't solve this particular problem. Is there any other way to get this done? Seems rather straightforward so sorry if I missed anything!

Thanks!
Right click on 'None of the above' and select 'Make Answer Exclusive'
Wow, that was simple, can't believe I overlooked this... Thanks a lot! 🙂

I tried your comment for my multiple choice question, but it does not work for me. When I right click on "None of the above" answer, I do not see or get the option to select 'Make Answer Exclusive'. Also, "Exclude From Analysis" is pre-selected by default in the select box. Am I doing something wrong?
