Selecting from

I have a matrix question with 26 statements respondents will be rating the importance of. Last time the survey was done, respondents selected too many to be useful. To address this, the survey developer would like to have a follow-up question where only the statements ranked as somewhat important or most important will be piped in as the answer options to which she would like them to select the five most important. I tried piping text from somewhat important and most important, but it would mash together all of the statements together. Is there a way to make this work?
