Specific options in survey | XM Community

Good evening,

I have two questions about the possibilities within the surveyplatform. I have created a survey for one of my projects and I would like to do these 2 things:

1. I would like to give each participant an unique number during the survey, which they should also see and can remember.

2. I would like participants to have the option to see their answer on a former question in the survey, without the possibility of changing that former answer.

Is there anyone who knows whether these things are possible? Happy to hear from you!

All the best, Madeleine
Hi,

I wonder if this helps?

1. You can create a random ID per respondent. Expose the field in a survey question format.

or, I also came across this previous thread. [https://qualtrics.com/community/discussion/4099/generate-a-random-number-using-a-previously-generated-random-number]

2. Not sure this one addresses your question. It could be over-engineering.

Hi Ruka,

Thanks for your help! Creating a random ID worked out well.

Regarding my second question, I figured out it should be something with carry forward choices. However, I only see the option of carry forward choices and not entered text. The instructions suggests it should be possible as is states " _Entered Text: Carries forward the text that the respondent entered in an answer choice text box. If the respondent selected an choice that doesn’t have a text box, the exact text of the selected choice is carried forward instead._"
