Data from Survey A piped into Survey B | XM Community

I need to take multiple text entries from one survey and be able to present them in another survey later. I had previously done this using a trigger that added the data to a contact list, but Qualtrics has changed the way this works and I’ve failed repeatedly to make it work. 

Here’s the gist:

Survey A has text entry questions AP and AN

Survey B needs to be able to present AP(response) and AN(response) as piped text (e.g., “Here is what you wrote previously: oblahblahblah]“)

Participants will be entering the Survey A and Survey B from an external app that provides an ID as an embedded field (“ID”) - and this is how Survey B will use the correct data from Survey A. 
 

I’m reasonably sure that this is an XM Directory question, but have been entirely unable to get anywhere.

Not sure how the participants enter Survey A & B through the external app and whether there is a delay between them but since you mentioned about two surveys and embedded field, you will probably need to use “Update XM Directory contacts” task in workflow for the first survey to save the embedded field and relevant answers. Then, have an authenticator in your second survey that checks for the embedded field before piping the relevant answers.
