Pin a button to top of pages to add small overlays of content when clicked

Hi everybody !
I am trying to pin a button to top of pages to add small overlays of content when clicked.
I found this code to pin some text to top of page : https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/14035/pin-instructions-to-top-of-page-as-participants-scroll-through-questions
And this one to insert a button that gives a pop-up window: https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/1956/insert-a-button-that-gives-a-pop-up-additional-information-window-when-clicked
I have tried to combine both codes but each time, I am having the following error message: "invalid JavaScript! You cannot save until you fix all errors: Unexpected identifier"
Is there a way to easily do what I need to do ? I am new to Qualtrics with little knowledge on JavaScript coding.
