Hi Team,

We have a requirement to display the count of surveys triggered across different channels on the dashboard.

  • We are using personalized links for survey distribution.
  • We have an embedded data field called CH.
  • If the survey is sent via WhatsApp, the CH field is stored as "WA".
  • If the survey is sent via Email, the CH field remains blank.

Requirement:
We would like to create dashboard widgets to display:

  1. Count of surveys triggered via WhatsApp
  2. Count of surveys triggered via email

Could you please guide us on:

The best way to configure widgets for this use case?
How to handle the Email channel condition (since CH is blank)?
Any best practices to accurately track and visualize distribution counts by channel?

Thanks in advance for your support!

Hi @Nikeeta ,

You could have set the embedded data field CH with a value of “EMAIL” in your survey flow before the collection of surveys.

If the responses have already been collected, you might want to try bulk editing those empty values in the embedded data field CH.

You can bulk edit responses by:

  1. filtering embedded data field CH is empty
  2. selecting the filtered responses
  3. selecting the edit icon.
  4. selecting the embedded data field CH
  5. Enter value as “EMAIL”

In your dashboard, you can choose your preferred widget such as donut/pie chart (with embedded data field CH as the dimension) or number charts (with filter of “WA” or “EMAIL” respectively).

Hope this helps.

Hi @Chee Heng_SZ ,
We are looking to capture the trigger count—specifically, how many personalized survey links were shared via WhatsApp and Email. The approach you suggested seems to reflect the response count, whereas our requirement is to track the number of links distributed (triggered) across each channel.

Hi Nikeeta,

You can add the directory funnel data as a data source for your dashboard to see the various distribution statistics - emails sent, bounced, etc. and tabulate them with the embedded data variable you need. The funnel itself already has a distribution channel field, so that might provide the info you need.
