Org Hierarchy Mapping - Leaving units unmapped | XM Community

Hi XM Community,

Maybe some of you know - is there a way in EX to do Org Unit mapping and leave some units not mapped Currently in order to show comparison based on org unit mapping, all units must be mapped.

We are looking currently for a solution where we could

a. map only certain units and not all – that is, for those unmapped to show blank in the comparison (currently if you leave at least one unmapped unit no comparison is shown)
b. map top to top only (e.g., comparing a local survey with a historical global survey) without mapping every unit down.

Thanks!

Hello!

Yes this is possible and I have done this recently. We don’t have to necessarily map all the units in the current hierarchy to a respective unit in the historical hierarchy. Just leave out the units that you don’t want to map as blank, and in comparisons those particular unit comparisons will come out as blanks. If this is not happening already - please run a “update responses with current metadata” and “update invited counts” tasks in the historical project, and also try updating the current dashboards’ dataset (by adding/removing a dummy field in dashboard data).
