I use Qualtrics surveys during class time with 300-400 students. I like to present summary statistics in realtime using STATSiQ
STATSIQ can be very slow to load, it can say "preparing your dataset for analysis" and warn me that it can take up to 20 min. It never takes that long, but it can be too long (e.g. 10 min)
Is there anyway to speed this up?
ps. I noticed getting the data ready for export can also be slow.
The only time I see StatsIQ being slow is during the update period, or when you want it to import new responses; man, that can take forever. Takes hours to recognize you have new data.
When I teach stats and survey to my students, I don’t use StatsIQ. I like it for work but it’s missing to many of the steps I want to teach them for inferential stats like assumption testing, especially with regression or ANOVA. I use Jamovi instead and walk them through how to set up the analyses, how to do assumption testing (like inequality of variance or independence of observations).
