Discover

  • Machine Learning Sentiment (Discover): Machine learning evaluates the positivity/negativity of text and assigns sentiment labels to sentences across all supported languages. If it is enabled, this kind of sentiment replaces the previous rules-based approaches.

New Support Pages

  • XM Directory Triggers in Workflows: XM Directory Triggers are being deprecated in Q1 2025, which includes the deprecation of both Automatic List Enrollment and Message Triggers. You can achieve the same functionality using Experience ID Change Events in Workflows.

 

Features Starting On & After December 18, 2024

 

Workflows

  • Is In List Operator: New operator for workflow conditions that evaluates a comma-separated list of values and returns “True” if there is an exact match.

  • Send Survey via Email Task: A new Workflow task to send a survey via email when a workflow is triggered. You can send this survey to individual contacts, an entire mailing list, a sample, a segment, or a transaction group. This task offers improved functionality over the XM Directory task and should be used instead. 

 

XM Platform

  • Automatic Survey Translation: You can now use Amazon or Google services to automatically translate your survey text.

  • Subdomain Redirects: Starting December 18, 2024, if your survey URL contains a subdomain that you do not own, then the survey URL will redirect to your base branded URL.

Hi Qualtrics team,

 

re Send Survey via Email Task.  I have read through this support page and it does not describe the extra benefits it has compared to the old XM Directory task.  Can you highlight this please?

 

Also, very much like the normal directory automations survey distributions, will we be able to see the distribution history if we use this task?  This has been a request for many years as in effect you are working blind and can’t see if emails have actually been sent / received.

@Rod_Pestell - One of the advantages is it can send more than one reminder (and customize each message) whereas the XM Directory task can only send one reminder. Hope that helps! :)
