Pick, Group and Rank -- Need to adjust group stack order ASAP

Hi. I am using Pick and Group (not rank). I have Pick items stacked and Group boxed stacked so people can put 20 items in one of two boxes. When I drag and drop the pick items, they do not stack showing that most recent item on top. This is confusing as it seems that the pick item disappears behind the stack.
I have tried randomizing and unrandomizing and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the items that remain on top for the respondent to see. Any ideas? All suggestions appreciated.

In Format of question type you can choose for stack items and that might solve your query.
