Hi, I collect the age by year of birth. Is there a way to embed data in age groups? Can I place a quota based on this new variable? thank you

For your age groups you can create branch logics based on greater than and smaller than on that embedded data.
Yes you can but it would invoke quota after the year of birth is either inputted.
Hope it helps!
The numeric options are in a drill-down format. Embedded data doesn't see the options as numeric and doesn't show "greater than and smaller than". Do I need to convert the question type into numeric text entry? Thank you

ucd_soci_mat what were you using the drill down for? Where is it in the drill down order? If you do a text entry or multiple choice question with dropdown box you will be able to use numeric operators. But you should consider if it breaks a functionality you need from drilling down.

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/55799#Comment_55799I applied this option, but the brunch or the quota doesn't see variable values as calculable. When I want to put conditions in a brunch or create a quota it shows the options rather than "grater than" logic. Although in variable setting it is the type is "numbers". Is there any solution to that? Thank you
ucd_soci_mat you need to pass the answer through as an embedded data field and reassign it from text to numeric (I like to use number set).
Here's what the survey flow looks like:
I also like to change the "Banner" variable from text to Text Set. You can then use the embedded field YOB or Banner to control your quotas.
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/55839#Comment_55839I was able to create embedded data bu it didn't work. It looks like this. Does anything seem wrong?
ucd_soci_mat did you use piping to insert the text to the right of the equal sign? I noticed Choicegroup should have a capital G like: ChoiceGroup.
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/55852#Comment_55852I tried, but it doesn't work. It leaves the cell empty. Because of that, I copied it from somewhere.
I think you may need to pipe it again. I see some odd things. QS1, that is probably the name you see in the editor. But it isn't the underlying questionID used by Qualtrics, those are always QID. You also have syntax (capitalization) errors with Choicegroup that manually need changed.
To find the right QID, navigate to the question in preview mode. Right click on the question text. Select "Inspect". Scan through the code above the line that is highlighted. You will see "QID" with a number next to it. I like to hover on that line and make sure it has highlighted the question I want. Then I know the right QID to put into the piped text, it will not have an S it like yours does now.
In my example this is QID3.
