Loop & Merge more than 5 times

Is there a way to set the Loop & Merge option so that participants may loop an unlimited number of times? The way it is set up automatically, it appears they can only loop a maximum of 5 times?? (or at least that is what it defaults to and I don't know how to change it).

You can have it loop as many time as needed, but not an unlimited number of times (you have to set a max). Just add additional rows to the loop & merge by clicking on the the '+'.

Thanks for reply. There is no '+' button to add rows - it automatically has 5 rows. There is only a '+' button to add more columns... Should I just be adding more columns???

Adding to this thread since I had the same question about the number of rows/loops -- I found that if you create your loop and merge table in Excel, copy your cells, then click into the first loop and merge field (row 1, field 1) and paste, ALL rows from your Excel will paste in without having to manually add them by clicking within the bottommost loop and merge field. So if you’re working with dozens of rows, this is def a shortcut!

Did you find that you could still review the rows and columns of the spreadsheet after you had pasted into the Loop and Merge table? And how big were you talking? My customer wants to add over 1500+ rows, that we could then filter via a Survey question response… and testing proves that it doesn’t seem to be working. :\

I had reached out to support regarding this question as well, here is the information they provided:

  • The loop and merge is currently set to loop for as many times as selected choices. If you only choose one choice in those questions it will only loop once, and as you have a total of 5 choices the block can only loop up to 5 times if all choices are selected.
  • If you'd want to set the amount of loops based on a defined number the participant set for themselves here is the support page on Looping based of a numer
