Hi All,

I have a multi-select MCQ question (Q1), responses of which are getting carry forwarded as options of next single select MCQ question (Q2).

Now, if a user has selected a single option in the Q1 then by default I want to get it selected in Q2 when it cary-forwarded but if a user has selected multiple options in Q1 then nothing should be selected by default.

Is there a way by which I can achieve this?

@TomG thank you so much!

This one worked. Thanks!

@TomG

Can you provide instructions on how to use the javascript that you linked?

Also, in this solution, does the user see Q2 or does it automatically make the selection and then proceed to Q3? It would be great if they didn’t even see Q2 since there is only one answer to select.

Thanks!

Add the JS to the MC question you want to auto answer.

The respondent will briefly see the question flash on the screen unless you take steps to hide it.

@TomG if you’re able, would you provide the steps needed to hide that question? Thanks very much!
