My team is exploring options for a Hiring Manager follow-up survey, specifically to analyze quality of hire. Currently, we have one hiring manager survey, which launches to managers once an open position closes. This is solely focused around their experience working with the Talent Acquisition team, the hiring process, and the pool of candidates they were presented with.

We’re utilizing other metrics for quality of hire (performance ratings, turnover, etc.), but we’d like to build this out with a follow-up survey around the 6 month mark to hiring managers. We don’t want this to necessarily be a talent assessment, but more of an initial check to more specifically ask if they’d recommend this candidate after working with them for a couple months.

Has anyone else implemented this before and if so, what has worked for you?

@carolinebarilla , we’re conducting a quality of transfer (not new hire) survey 45 days post-transfer.  We’re asking the manager how well the person is meeting expectations, if they would offer the employee the role again based on what is known now, and if their current experience is aligned with how they were represented during the transfer process (by the prior manager and by the employee).  We don’t have a lot of responses yet, but so far it appears to be detecting both high and low quality.

We haven’t yet launched any manager surveys for new hires, but will likely include quality of hire when we do.  We’d probably do it no sooner than the 3 month point and no later than 6 months.
