How to Pause & Resume a survey with a URL?

Hi,

I would like to be able to pause (and resume) a survey with a URL. 

I want to use surveys to track attendance in my classes. Ideally, I would like to click a URL in a PowerPoint presentation to Activate ( or resume) a survey and then click another link a couple of minutes later to Pause the survey.

Any thoughts…
