Voiceform makes it super easy to capture interview insights with voice and ai probing. Check out the docs here - https://docs.voiceform.com/docs/qualtrics

This may be obvious but I’m from the Voiceform team lol

Thank you Philip your product UI looks way better then Phonic! Was so easy to add a voice recorder!

@mcatoen Previously, I was using Phonic, but since the company got sold, I switched to Voiceform for recording. It works like a charm! https://docs.voiceform.com/docs/qualtrics

That AI use case sounds interesting… Will test this as well 🙂

Meanwhile there is also the video response question with the option to record audio only…

@chackbusch Yes, that’s true. Unfortunately, it doesn’t perform any analysis on the collected audio, not even generating transcripts. The recording format varies across browsers, making it difficult to export and process. Additionally, if the recording is stopped, there’s no option to resume, which affects the user experience. Another limitation is that you can’t offer respondents the choice to provide answers in text or audio on the same page. We’ve also noticed cases where respondents recorded silence, indicating the app doesn’t alert them if there’s an issue with their mic. The list goes on, and while it might be a good tool to get started, I wouldn’t recommend using it for a real production study.

@BellaYang,

You could integrate the Web Speech API SpeechRecognition controller into Qualtrics, but it is only supported on Chrome browsers.

The Web Speech API is supported by all major browsers, but implementing it on your own while ensuring a good user experience can be quite challenging.
