Hi all--

I’m fairly new to building dashboards, especially when it comes to text iq and stats iq. I’ve spent a lot of time searching YouTube for info on how to build a dashboard with a text iq widget. I’ve read all the support pages but can’t visualize the steps. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

@Sara S ,

Check this out and let me know if that helped.

Hi Sara,

TextIQ in dashboard and in survey is independent. If finished assigning topics in survey, export the topics and import in dashboard textIQ. Once you finish updating the topics in dashboard textIQ, necessary fields will automatically created and mapped. Then, create a widget you wish and set the open end question.

If you find it hard to do above, just comment here, lets finish.

Hope this helps.

Also, Make sure you use correct syntax like AND, OR, NOT

@Sara S I’d refer to Qualtrics Base Camp training, there is specific modules on both which will step it through in detail.  https://basecamp.qualtrics.com/  Search option in top right corner.

Hi @ScottG @Aggarwal @resh_kr

- thanks for those suggestions, I’ve been to all of those pages. I think the missing link is what @jbk suggested - that there’s a difference between textIQ in a dashboard and a survey. I’ve been thinking they’re interchangeable/ and have gotten lost going between them.

My biggest hurdle is not knowing what to start building from - does that make sense? I thought there was a way for Qualtrics to offer a list of suggestions/ frequently used words and from there I can build out the analysis.

So, step one is where do the suggestions live? (I’m new to my role/ starting in a new industry - so good news, I’m clearly not brining any bias to the table, bad news, I have no idea where to begin with frequent issues).

My next question is, what order to I build the text iq? Do I start locally at the survey, then build it into the single survey dashboard, and then build it again into the enterprise-wide survey dashboard?

Thank you all for your help :)

@Sara S

Question 1: Good news! There are pre-built suggestions for phrases and words based on your industry. For our company, our current text IQ topics are loosely based on the recommendations given to us by Qualtrics when we first set up the IQ topics.

You can find them in the settings of your dashboard you’re setting up.  When in settings, on the left, there is a menu; choose “Text IQ”. In there, choose to import using the import icon next to the All Topics header and the plus icon. In that modal, there will be two options: Upload a JSON file or Select a Qualtrics topic library. Choose “Select a Qualtrics topic library”. There, you’ll see options to choose from.

You may also benefit by utilizing an AI tool of your choice to ask relevant VoC / VoE topics for your industry.

Question 2: I determined that I didn’t want to do this twice and only build in the dashboard from now on. It was getting tedious updating the survey THEN exporting and reimporting in the dashboard, letting it load and rebuild etc...

Good luck and I hope this helps so you don’t have to start from scratch!
