I have a survey with several randomizing blocks and a randomizing question order within some blocks. When wanting to have the viewing order of all randomizations, I export the data with “viewing order data for randomized surveys”.

Yet, now I am puzzled why this viewing order is sometimes missing. It is always missing where participants did not complete the fully study. However, for most incomplete observations it does create the viewing order variable and only for few not (also when they completed one block). What is the logic behind this?
