Embed data using external data reference

I was hoping to use an external data reference in a query string to allow a survey to match that to a list and then bring in that data into a dashboard so that we could then use that data to filter dashboards and the like, but everything I’ve tried doesn’t seem to pull in the embedded data. Any ideas?

Have you added an ED with the exact same name as your query string parameter?

 

If it still doesn’t work, maybe you could update your survey responses via API  and then add them to the dashboard.

You may want to elaborate a little more on your question and current survey set-up for others to understand better.

 

For example,

How did you set up your external data? (Contact list’s embedded data or supplemental data?)
How is the survey flow set up? (Did you add embedded data in the flow?)

Is the dashboard data correctly mapped?
