Looking for some direction on how best to set up a dynamic excel extension to feed data directly from Qualtrics to XLS. I have explored the Excel Task Extension (and the Google Sheets). While the Excel task workflow has the ability to feed new responses to the sheet, it does not seem capable to reflect other changes (e.g., if responses are changed in the survey data view, if the values mapped to the column are changed after the workflow has been set up, etc.—which will cause the workflow to 'break').

So, the question is what might be some other approaches? Ideally, the concept we are working towards is a direct and dynamic excel feed / extension that can reflect changes (i.e., think of how you can make changes to fields / add new fields in dashboard mapping that are then reflected in the actual dashboard—except we would want the excel sheet to be receptacle in lieu of the dashboards).

The reason we want to do this is because there are certain formatting preferences and analyses that we run in XLS that we cannot duplicate within the platform.

Any ideas?

@BNTRYTRICS : Consider using Power Automate, Zapier, or Excel VBA macros for dynamic data transfer from Qualtrics to Excel. These tools can help automate data updates and maintain flexibility.

Appreciate the response. And I’ll check those suggestions out. However, would your suggestions changed based on that the use case would not be continuous longitudinal research but rather stand-alone projects (i.e., survey(s)) occurring every so many weeks?

I provide the additional context here because I want to avoid having the solution be more complicated than the problem (i.e., having to manually download data exports to update a XLS database) considering that the parameters are changing fairly frequently.
