I read through many help articles but cannot seem to find a direct answer -- how can I make sure that participants' responses are being recorded after specific survey questions?
For context/as an example, I have a short survey available at the end of Tech Support articles. I want to make sure the first question "Was this article helpful Y/N?" is recorded before a user proceeds onto the next question. How can I tell that the response for that question will be recorded/logged upon completion and not just when the user finishes the survey?
Thanks.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this OOTB. What you can do is you can record all and later filter based on the progress%.
Hope it helps!
Hi, aelder! I can think of a few ways you could approach this! Here are some ideas:
1) You could look at responses in progress and record them manually. Specifically, take a look at the progress for those responses and determine what % completion needs to met for that question to have been completed.
2) You could change the response settings so that responses record after X hours of inactivity. You can do this by going to Survey Options -- Responses -- Incomplete survey responses.
3) Depending on how you're distributing this survey, you could consider adding that question as an inline email question. There's also a tip on the Qualtrics support page that walks through how to make an inline email question submit immediately.
4) If your survey is really short, you could reduce it to single page (no page breaks; single block), then change the next button to something like, "Submit Response" -- this emphasizes to users that their response won't be recorded until they hit submit. To do this, select the block, then under Edit Block, click "Next/Previous button text."
Hopefully this is helpful, but let me know!
