How do I get a set number of responses on the elements and conditions? | XM Community

 Hi all,

I need to set up my survey in a way that I have a set number of responses on the questions. I have 2 conditions in my survey overall, each of which has 6 elements. I want to set it such that I have 300 responses/participants on each of the condition and 50 on each of the element. I've tried setting it up in the survey flow but wasn't very successful. Any tips/pointers on how I can set it up would be much appreciated. I attach a screenshot of my survey below:

To reiterate, I’m aiming for 300 responses each on noun/verb ratings .. and 50 each on the indiidual elements/block group.

  • What I’ve tried so far:
    - ‘edit count’ function to include the above number
    - tried using ‘quotas’ but it didn’t work successfully.

Thanks,

@hajira edit count is to balance/shift the logic distribution. There’s no use of it here
Quota is the correct choice. You don’t need 2 layers of randomizer. 12 blocks, 50 responses for each block. That’s it.

All you need to do is a randomizer that present full 12 element (the randomizer will stir things up). In my example, i’ll do it for 2 element.

In each one, a condition for if “Quota” for that block has not been met and the flag “Done” has not been raised.

Show your block and then raise 2 flag with embedded data. “BlockN” to count the records for quota and “Done” to skip all other blocks.

In quota, set 12 quotas for 12 blocks (This will be used in the survey flow condition). Set “None” to quota option. Set another quota to delete if every other quota has been met.

Hope this helps
