Partially (in)active survey & effect on translations | XM Community

Hi,

We have surveys with open text feedback, which we are auto-translating into English.

On the dashboard, we visualize the open text feedback in some widgets.

We notice that sometimes the texts are not getting translated anymore.

It seems to be related with the survey dataset status “partially active”: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/data/recorded-responses/#DatasetUpdateFrequency

When the survey has not received responses in a certain timeframe, and the status jumped to “partially active”, then the translations are not happening anymore.

We then need to manually go into the “data and analysis” tab of those surveys, to trigger a re-indexing. After that, the translations are appearing again.

 

Has anyone else encountered this?

Does anyone know of a way to avoid this behaviour? i.e. somewhere where a larger timeframe can be set before a survey is marked as “partially active”?
