I am wanting to send out recurring survey once a week, but I would like to use personal links as I am embedding data on the contact rather than requiring participants to self identify. I am not sure how to set this up as once someone has completed a survey it typically does not allow for you to resend them the same link.

I am also wanting to set it up so that it goes out weekly, every Thursday for 3 weeks in a row, then skips a week (respondents will have a “week off”), then send again week for 3 weeks, followed by an off week, etc…

*I will be sending to the same contact list every single time.

Using Personal Links for Recurring Surveys

To send recurring surveys with personal links, use the "Multiple Completes Link" option in Qualtrics. This allows the same link to be used multiple times by respondents, which is essential for your weekly surveys. Ensure survey options like "Prevent Multiple Submissions" are disabled to avoid errors.

Setting Up the Weekly Schedule

For your schedule (every Thursday for 3 weeks, then skip a week, repeating), manually schedule each distribution. Plan the dates in advance, setting the first three Thursdays, skipping the fourth, and repeating. This ensures the survey goes out on the right days, though it requires some upfront planning.

@EdenHaha I am looking specifically on how to automate the distribution set up, this project will span 2+ years and having to set up the distribution every week (technically every week x3, then nothing for a week, repeated) is a little labor intensive.

@kgillis

I understand your needs, you want to automate the distribution set up because your project will span 2+ years and having to set up the distribution every week. To meet your needs, what about using thirds - party technology.

If you think about that, I recommend you to use code tools like Selenium, it is automation code framework which first build for app testing. My advice is first plan all your step to set up as detailed as your can, then, transform it to script. Next step, you can explore Selenium or require your IT team to do it for you.
