SSO set up in Qualtrics

Hi,

We are trying to set up SSO in our organization in Qualtrics.

Below are my queries:

  1. In Authentication tab, I came to know there is a check box which when enabled,  automatically creates a user in Qualtrics. I am not able to locate the checkbox. Does it need to be enabled by Qualtrics ?
  2. For those users who do not have any other role of dashboard or survey provided to them, I would like to display a message and a link to survey to raise request. Now I know this can be achieved by having a custom dashboard link with customized message. Is there any standard messaging mechanism for this ?

Hi,

The option you’re looking for to create new users if they aren’t in the Qualtrics platform is Just in time provisioning.

Hi Neha - what you’re looking for sounds like the 2 options once you have configured an SSO connection.

For users who are only logging into Qualtrics to view dashboards, the options below should cover them too. Not sure that there is a need to raise a request?

@vgayraud , I set up the Just in provisioning. 

Now I would like the user created automatically to be assigned to a default role that has a dashboard in it with just a rich text editor stating the procedure of how they can gain access to system. And provide a form link to fill in details (That would actually be a survey).

 

In attributes, I can only see First & Last name, email, user ID, user type, division and group.I don’t see an option to assign a role as attribute.

 

Is there any standard way to display message with procedure ? If not, what can be done to assign the role automatically.

I suggest looking into dashboard attributes and automatic role assignment to assign dashboards to new users. 

You could also look into customizing the login page for your users, either with your IT or within Qualtrics, depending on your situation.
