Default Choices - Changing Font Color and Translation Options | XM Community
Skip to main content

Hi All and Happy New Year!
I'm trying to pre-populate a comment question with some text and have a few questions about using the Default Choices functionality. I have looked under support pages and community and don't see that any of this is possible, so thinking to add it to product ideas, but wanted to check with everyone first.
For a Text Entry question using Default Choices, is there a way to:

  1. Change the font color of the text added via default choices, like a rich text editor?

  2. Provide translations for the text added via default choices?

  3. Have the text added via default choices disappear once the respondent chicks in the text box.

Have something like this:

What you are looking for is commonly called a placeholder. You can add a placeholder attribute to an input element using JS. You can also style a placeholder with CSS (e.g., change font color).

Thanks Tom! Seems like it is set up with those options to be possible. I will look into that but probably post these options as new product features where a user wouldn't have to use JS or CSS too.
