Adding an informational popup on survey load

Hi all,
I have looked around and dabbled in some options for creating a popup message for survey respondents on the first page of the survey. This is an annual survey that we are still implementing but we wanted to add a temporary popup message at the beginning of the survey with some additional information and a timely kind message.
I have searched the forums for html/java code that would allow us to do this. I was only able to find hover text and popup windows that appear specifically after clicking a button. This is arguably simpler than that, but I could use some help. I have also dabbled in making a Creative, but that seems to be reserved for placement on a different website, not a Qualtrics survey.
