How do I ask the same participant different questions each day without requesting contact details

We want to survey participants during an event and would like to ask them each day different questions without asking them each time for their basic information (email, name, organization). How can i set this up so Qualtrics know it's the same person?
For example.
Day 1: We ask contact details + 3 questions
Day 2: We ask 5 different questions

On Day 1 use a workflow or contact trigger to save the contact information to a contact list. Make sure it includes a unique identifier - either email or a unique external data reference.
For Day 2 add an authenticator to the beginning of the survey flow that authenticates against the contact list using the unique identifier (e.g., email).
