Exclude from analysis certain 'carry forward' options

In my current survey, I have a Filter question that asks which items people have used, then carries forward the Selected Choices to my main Frequency question on how often they have used the items. The Filter question has an 'Other' with text entry option, which I am currently using Randomisation on the Frequency Question, to stop from showing.
However both the Other(Selected) and Other(Text entry description) are still columns in the exported data, so I am looking for a way to 'exclude from analysis' the carried forward 'Other' option.
(I have about 25 of these paired Qs, and they each have a Other/OtherText which I used the Carryforwrd>Randomisation to exclude from showing in the 2nd Q, but I then have 50 blank columns in my data, that every time I export I have to go through and delete!)
