Limited option for Progress bar?

Hello,
I would like to add a progress bar to my survey and when looking at the guidance on this, it says I should have options to select whether the bar is at the top or bottom and whether to include text etc. I don't have the option to choose where the bar goes and when I select Progress bar with verbose text nothing changes, it is just a bar at the top? Please can anyone advise why I can't see all the options for the progress bar and why the selections I have made don't work?
I tried adding this to the header as I saw this on another post, but it doesn't work either:
