Piping dates selected from flatpickr calendar to form field.

Hello!
I have a calendar set up through flatpickr where participants can select multiple dates that they participated in an activity (drinking alcohol). Each date is entered into a text entry form and separated by a comma like this: Jun 03, Jun 09 etc.
After selecting the dates I want participants to be able to tell me how many drinks they had on each of the selected dates. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to get the responses from the calendar to carry over into a form field or text entry matrix table.
I poked around a bit and found a code that supposedly will split up the text entry inputs every time there is a comma. However I can't figure out how to get it to split on the second question (the attempt below does not work and it won't give me the option to carry forward).
Does anyone have any ideas? Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for your time!
