German Works Council/ Data Privacy Requirements | XM Community

Hi all,
I'm looking for knowledge sharing and best practices from other global customers who have teams in Germany. We recently transitioned to Qualtrics and have been working through the process of bringing our German team members into our listening strategy, however we have some relatively strict requirements to bring this market on board.
It's been shared with us that we will not be able to share German leader engagement results beyond 2 layers of the org structure hierarchy. Curious if any other customers have similar requirements and how you've approached this?
Given that we are used to a model where leaders have visibility into the results for every leader in their downstream hierarchy - this is a change for us. Additionally, our leaders in Germany report up through other leaders outside of Germany, so separating into two separate hierarchies (i.e., one for the whole company without Germany, one for German leaders) is not ideal as there are gaps throughout the hierarchy still.
Looking for any and all thoughts or advice!

ncampion Is it an option to de-identify responses so that they are not associated with a particular individual? I'm not intimately familiar with GDPR or German data protection requirements, but I wonder if using de-identified data (e.g., using a non-personal identifier in lieu of a name, employee number, etc.) would address this problem.
