SSFF API - DATA EXTRACTION (EX)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on building an Employee Experience (EX) program that includes an integration with SAP SuccessFactors (SSFF). Some of the data we need comes from Employee Central (EC), and for that, we’re using the native Qualtrics plug-in.

However, we also need to bring in information from other SSFF modules (such as BenefitsLearning, etc.). I believe we might need to use the API integration for this, but I’m not completely sure if there are any risks or limitations with that approach — or if there’s a simpler way to achieve it.

Has anyone here tried integrating these additional modules into Qualtrics before?
I’d love to hear about your experience or any best practices for handling this type of setup.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Erikahuer,

I’m not sure if you found a solution to this yet, but here is a suggestion, in case you haven’t or if others comes across this.

While the native plugin is easy to setup and run, it is also a bit limited in the sense that it has a limited starting point in the data domain in SF.

I would suggest that you look at running your integration via SFTP, so you dump the data from SF Integration Center in a PGP encrypted file, and then you can read this from Qualtrics, and pass to the same tasks as you are running today in the workflow for the native task.

The SFTP integration has a lot more flexibility to collecting data from different domains, so you should be able to collect from any SF domain you want. You will also have added benefits in setting calculated values and fixed fields like today’s date via SFTP.

You can keep your current integration, and then just add the SFTP ones on top of the current one :)
